Section 16-25-62 Appropriation; funding for benefits. (a) There is hereby appropriated from the Education Trust Fund to the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama $13,878,629.00 for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1990. In addition to the appropriation provided herein any available amounts from the existing funds of the Teachers' Retirement System which may be expended without increasing the unfunded accrued liability of the Teachers' Retirement System, as determined by the system's actuary, or any other appropriation to the Teachers' Retirement System for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1990, may be allocated and expended by the Secretary-Treasurer to partially fund the benefits provided herein for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1990. (a) All state chartered credit unions shall pay an annual operating fee and, if deemed necessary by the administrator, an assessment, the exact amount of which shall be fixed from time to time by the Administrator of the Alabama Credit Union Administration. Section 22-35-4 Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund. There is hereby created the Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund," to be administered by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The fund shall be used by the department as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. The fund is not an insurance company and the laws relating to the conduct of business in this state by an insurance company do not apply to the fund.
