Section 24-4A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them by this section: (1) COMMISSION. The Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission. (2) APPROVED. Conforming to the recognized codes and regulatory requirements adopted by the commission. (3) APPROVED INSPECTION AGENCY. An organization meeting the commission's requirements to provide inspection of manufactured buildings and to insure compliance with national recognized codes, and rules and regulations adopted by the commission pursuant to this chapter. (4) LOCAL GOVERNMENT. A city or county government. (5) MANUFACTURE. The process of making, fabricating, constructing, forming or assembling a product from raw, unfinished or semifinished materials. This chapter does not apply to: (1) Any employee of a licensee who does not hold himself or herself out for hire or engage in residential home building, except as such employee of a licensee. Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Section 28-3A-6 Manufacturer licensing and requirements; tastings or samplings; charitable event donations. Section 34-27-36 Disciplinary action - Generally. (a) The commission or its staff may on its own, or on the verified complaint in writing of any person, investigate the actions and records of a licensee. The commission may issue subpoenas and compel the testimony of witnesses and the production of records and documents during an investigation. If probable cause is found, a formal complaint shall be filed and the commission shall hold a hearing on the formal complaint.
