Section 41-16-50 Contracts for which competitive bidding required. (a) With the exception of
contracts for public works whose competitive bidding requirements are governed exclusively
by Title 39, all expenditure of funds of whatever nature for labor, services, work, or for
the purchase of materials, equipment, supplies, or other personal property involving
fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) or more, and the lease of materials, equipment, supplies,
or other personal property where the lessee is, or becomes legally and contractually,
bound under the terms of the lease, to pay a total amount of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000)

Section 22-7A-1 Physician agreements; dentist agreements. (a) For the purposes of this chapter,
the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) DENTIST. A person licensed to practice
dentistry in this state. (2) DENTIST AGREEMENT or AGREEMENT. A contract between a dentist
and a patient or his or her legal representative in which the dentist or the dentist's medical
practice agrees to provide dental services to the patient for an agreed upon fee and period

Section 25-13-1 Purpose. (a) The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the safety of life
and limb and to promote public safety awareness. The use of unsafe and defective lifting devices
imposes a substantial probability of serious and preventable injury to employees and
