Section 41-16-50 Contracts for which competitive bidding required. (a) With the exception of
contracts for public works whose competitive bidding requirements are governed exclusively
by Title 39, all expenditure of funds of whatever nature for labor, services, work, or for
the purchase of materials, equipment, supplies, or other personal property involving fifteen

Section 11-88-1 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases shall
have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of

Section 22-7A-1 Physician agreements; dentist agreements. (a) For the purposes of this chapter,
the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) DENTIST. A person licensed to practice
dentistry in this state. (2) DENTIST AGREEMENT or AGREEMENT. A contract between a dentist
and a patient or his or her legal representative in which the dentist or the dentist's medical
practice agrees to provide dental services to the patient for an agreed upon fee and period

Section 22-9A-21 Disclosure of information from vital records. (a) To protect the integrity
of vital records, to insure their proper use, and to insure the efficient and proper administration
of the system of vital statistics, it shall be unlawful for any person to permit inspection
of, or to disclose information contained in vital records, or to copy or issue a copy of all
or part of any record, except as authorized by this chapter and by rules of the board or by

Section 25-13-1 Purpose. (a) The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the safety of life
and limb and to promote public safety awareness. The use of unsafe and defective lifting devices
imposes a substantial probability of serious and preventable injury to employees and the public
exposed to unsafe conditions. The prevention of these injuries and protection of employees
and the public from unsafe conditions is in the best interest of the people of this state.
Elevator personnel performing work covered by this chapter shall by documented training or
experience, or both, be familiar with the operation and safety functions of the components
and equipment. Training and experience shall include, but not be limited to, recognizing the
safety hazards and performing the procedures to which they are assigned in conformance with
