Section 37-6-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) PERSON. Such term includes any natural person, firm, association, corporation, business trust partnership, federal agency, state, or political subdivision or agency thereof, or any body politic. (2) MEMBER. Section 34-4-25 Licensing of nonresidents. A nonresident of this state, or a resident of this state who is licensed by another state, may become an auctioneer or apprentice auctioneer in this state by conforming to this chapter, or in the case of a nonresident from a nonlicensing state, such person may be licensed provided an examination is given and passed and the person has at least five years' experience in the auction business.
