Section 16-49-20 Creation; composition; nominating committee. (a)(1) There is created
a Board of Trustees for Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, a state land-grant
educational institution at Huntsville. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and
reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
The board of trustees shall consist of 12 members, two members who shall reside in the congressional
district in which the institution is situated; one member shall reside in each of the remaining
congressional districts in the state as constituted on September 5, 1975, and shall be a bona
fide resident and qualified elector of that district, with a verifiable physical presence
in that district, during the entire term of office; three at-large members who may be selected
from outside the state; and the Governor, who shall be ex officio president of the board.

Section 21-1-2 Board of trustees - Composition; qualifications, appointment and terms
of office of members. The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind shall be managed and controlled
by a board of trustees which shall consist of the Governor, the State Superintendent of Education,
and 13 other persons who shall be appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate at
the time of the appointment or at the next meeting of the Legislature following the appointment.
If any appointment by the Governor is rejected by the Senate, the Governor shall again appoint
until the full number of appointments at such time is complete. In case of a vacancy on the

Section 34-2-38 Board for Registration of Architects - Creation; composition. To carry
out the provisions of this chapter, there shall be a State Board for Registration of Architects,
consisting of six members, each of whom shall be appointed by the Governor from a list of

Section 34-23-90 Authority; composition. (a) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy is
vested with the authority to carry out the purposes of and enforce this chapter. The board
shall consist of five members who are citizens of this state. The members of the board shall
be licensed pharmacists who have been licensed in this state for a minimum of five years and
who are actively engaged in the practice of pharmacy or pharmacy administration, or both.
