Section 11-44G-2 Procedures in event of vacancy - Mayor. (a)(1) In the event of the absence or disability of the mayor in any Class 7 or Class 8 municipality, the functions of the office shall be exercised by the chair pro tempore of the city council and, during his or her absence or disability, by such person as the city council may appoint from its membership, which appointment shall be entered upon the minutes of the city council. (2) In the event of a vacancy from any cause in the office of mayor, the city council shall fill the vacancy either from its own membership or from without the membership of the city council. The act of a person providing the means or manner for another person to be able to commit suicide, with actual knowledge that the person deliberately intends on committing suicide by that means or manner. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular Session 1975, shall continue to serve to the completion of the term for which they are serving.
