Section 34-27A-57 Duties of appraisal management company. An appraisal management company shall do all of the following: (1) Annually certify to the board, on a form prescribed by the board, that the appraisal management company verifies that any person added to the appraiser panel of the appraisal management company, for the purpose of completing appraisals in this state, is licensed or certified in good standing pursuant to Article 1. (2) Annually certify to the board, on a form prescribed by the board, that the appraisal management company periodically reviews the work of all appraisers performing appraisals and appraisal reviews for the appraisal management company to verify that the appraisals are being conducted in accordance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Section 34-27B-4 State Board of Respiratory Therapy - Functions. The board shall perform the following functions: (1) Set respiratory therapy licensure fees, including, but not limited to, application, initial, renewal, and reinstatement fees. (2) Establish and publish minimum standards of continuing education of respiratory therapy in accordance with those standards developed and accepted by the profession. (a) The board shall administer, coordinate, and enforce the provisions of this chapter, evaluate the qualifications and supervise the examinations of applicants for licensure under this chapter and shall, at its discretion, investigate allegations of practices violating the provisions of this chapter. Section 34-5-3 Exemptions from chapter. Any person who can establish within six months after August 19, 1971, that he or she is a barber or an apprentice as defined under this chapter and can establish reasonable proof that he or she is practicing barbering in a barbershop under sanitary conditions will be given a certificate to practice barbering or an apprentice certificate without any examination upon paying the required fees as prescribed by this chapter. (a) The board shall establish and award, according to the judgment of the board, loans to provide for the training of qualified applicants for admission or students in any accredited master's degree program for physician assistant studies at a medical school or college.
