Section 34-29-111 Duties of board; Alabama Veterinary Professionals Wellness Committee; liability.
(a) It shall be the duty and obligation of the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
to promote the early identification, intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation of veterinary
professionals licensed to practice veterinary medicine or veterinary technology in Alabama
who may be impaired by reason of illness, inebriation, excessive use of drugs, narcotics,
alcohol, chemicals, or other substances, or as a result of any physical or mental condition.
(b) In order to carry out this obligation the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
may contract with any nonprofit corporation or medical professional association for the purpose
of creating, supporting, and maintaining a committee of veterinary professionals to be designated
the Alabama Veterinary Professionals Wellness Committee. The committee shall consist of not

Section 34-27B-7 Issuance, use, renewal of license; temporary license. (a) The board shall
issue a respiratory therapist license to any person who meets the qualifications required
by this chapter and who pays the license fee established herein. (b) Any person who is issued

Section 34-8B-15 Temporary license. (a) Commencing on August 1, 2012, any person who is a graduate
of a court reporting program may receive a temporary license to practice as a court reporter
from the board. Application for the temporary graduate license shall be made to the board,
on forms approved by the board, and the payment of a fee in an amount determined by the board.
The temporary license shall be valid for 18 months from the date of issuance. (b) In the event
that a temporary license expires without the temporary licensee having passed the examination
for full licensure, court reporting services by the temporary licensee shall cease and desist

Section 34-24-523 Designation of state of principal license. (a) A physician shall designate
a member state as the state of principal license for purposes of registration for expedited
licensure through the compact if the physician possesses a full and unrestricted license to
practice medicine in that state, and the state is: (1) The state of primary residence for
