Section 34-27C-3 Powers of the board. (a) The board shall have the following powers:
(1) In accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, to adopt rules not in conflict with
the laws of this state which are reasonable, proper, and necessary to carry out the functions
of the board in the regulation of persons engaged in providing security officers within this
state. Any interested person may petition the board to adopt, amend, or repeal any rule and
the board shall prescribe by rule any necessary forms for petitions and procedures for submission,
consideration, and disposition of petitions. (2) To enforce compliance with this chapter.

Section 40-2A-15 Alabama Local Tax Institute of Standards and Training - Creation; composition;
duties. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Local Tax Institute of Standards and Training.
All costs of operating the institute shall be paid from public funds appropriated, contributions
received, or fees and license revenues collected for this purpose. (b) The institute shall
operate under the direction and supervision of a board of directors. The board shall organize,

Section 10A-1-1.03 Definitions. As used in this title, unless the context otherwise
requires, the following terms mean: (1) AFFILIATE. A person who controls, is controlled by,

other place limited or prohibited by state or federal law, a person, including a person with
a permit issued under Section 13A-11-75(a)(1) or recognized under Section 13A-11-85,

Section 13A-11-72 Certain persons forbidden to possess pistol. (a) No person who has
been convicted in this state or elsewhere of committing or attempting to commit a crime of
violence, misdemeanor offense of domestic violence, violent offense as listed in Section

Section 5-26-3 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions
shall apply: (1) DEPOSITORY INSTITUTION. The term "depository institution" has the
