Section 27-7-5 Licenses - Qualifications. (a) An individual applying for a resident insurance producer license shall make application to the commissioner on the Uniform Application, and an individual applying for a service representative license shall make application to the commissioner on the application prescribed by the commissioner, each declaring under penalty of refusal, suspension, or revocation of the license that the statements made in the application are true, correct, and complete to the best of the individual's knowledge and belief. Before approving the application, the commissioner shall find that the individual has satisfied all of the following: (1) The individual is at least 18 years of age. (2) The individual has not committed any act that is a ground for denial, suspension, or revocation set forth in Section 27-7-19. Section 32-6-3 Examination prior to application for license or renewal. (a) Every person who applies for an initial Alabama driver's license issued by the Department of Public Safety under this article shall be given and successfully pass an examination before the issuance of a driver's license. Section 34-8B-15 Temporary license. (a) Commencing on August 1, 2012, any person who is a graduate of a court reporting program may receive a temporary license to practice as a court reporter from the board. Application for the temporary graduate license shall be made to the board, on forms approved by the board, and the payment of a fee in an amount determined by the board. The temporary license shall be valid for 18 months from the date of issuance.
