Section 45-49-91.09 Composition of board; terms. (a) The board shall be composed of seven members, with position numbers and initial terms as follows: (1) Positions One and Four, one year upon creation of the board. (2) Positions Two and Five, two years upon creation of the board. (3) Positions Three, Six, and Seven three years upon creation of the board. (b) Positions One, Two, and Three shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Fowl River Volunteer Fire District. Positions Four, Five, and Six shall be appointed by the Fowl River Area Civic Association. Position Seven shall be appointed by the Mobile County Commission. All board members shall own property and reside within the district. The officers of the board shall be a chair, vice chair, secretary, and treasurer. (a) In order to provide for the protection and welfare of children in Madison County who are alleged to be or have been found by the juvenile court of the county to be abused or neglected or otherwise dependent as defined by Section 12-15-102, there is levied and imposed a court cost of four dollars ($4), in all cases filed in the district court of the county, which shall be in addition to all other costs previously imposed.
