Section 34-25A-6 Disciplinary actions. (a) The board may invoke disciplinary action as outlined in subsection (b) whenever it establishes to the satisfaction of the board, after a hearing as provided in Sections 41-22-1 through 41-22-17, the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act, that any person or entity to whom a license, registration, accreditation, or renewal thereof has been issued is guilty of any of the following: (1) Fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation in obtaining any license, registration, accreditation, or renewal thereof or money or other thing of value. (2) Gross immorality. (3) Being an habitual user of intoxicants or drugs rendering the person unfit for the practice of prosthetics, orthotics, or pedorthics. Section 34-9-10 Application; licensure by credentials; special purpose license. (a) Every person who desires to practice dentistry within the State of Alabama shall file an application prescribed by the board. Section 34-13-56 Grounds for revocation, suspension, or refusal to issue or renew licenses, etc.; hearing; fines. (a) The board may refuse to license any person or establishment for violation of this chapter. If the board refuses to issue, grant, or renew a license based on a violation of this chapter, including, but not limited to, violations listed in subsection (c), the licensee or prospective licensee may request a public hearing before the board to appeal the action of the board.
