Section 21-1-2 Board of trustees - Composition; qualifications, appointment and terms of office of members. The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind shall be managed and controlled by a board of trustees which shall consist of the Governor, the State Superintendent of Education, and 13 other persons who shall be appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate at the time of the appointment or at the next meeting of the Legislature following the appointment. If any appointment by the Governor is rejected by the Senate, the Governor shall again appoint until the full number of appointments at such time is complete. In case of a vacancy on the board by death or resignation of a member or from any cause other than the expiration of the term of office, the Governor may fill the vacancy by appointment, which shall be good until the next meeting of the Legislature and until a successor is duly appointed and confirmed. Section 34-5-13 Board of Barber Examiners. There is hereby created the Alabama Board of Barber Examiners, to consist of five persons. Such board shall be appointed by the Governor of the State of Alabama, one person appointed for the term of one year, one person for a term of two years, one person for a term of three years, one person for a term of four years, and one person for a term of five years and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
