Section 16-47-122 Board of Medical Scholarship Awards - Composition; terms of members; chairman. (a) The Board of Medical Scholarship Awards shall be composed of three members of the Board of Censors of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Executive Officer of the State Board of Health, the dean of each school of medicine in Alabama or his designee, the chairman of the admissions committee of each school of medicine in Alabama and two members appointed by the Governor for four-year terms, one of whom shall be a member of the State of Alabama Senate and the other a member of the State of Alabama House of Representatives. The terms of the legislative members shall be concurrent with their legislative terms. Section 22-2-4 State Committee of Public Health - How constituted. There is hereby created a State Committee of Public Health which shall be composed of 12 members of the board of censors of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the chairman of the four councils which are created in Section 22-2-9. The secretary-treasurer shall keep a record of the proceedings of the board, shall receive and account for all the moneys derived from the operation of this chapter and shall deposit, or cause to be deposited, all such moneys in the State Treasury to the credit of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors; and the funds shall be subject to withdrawal only upon warrant of the state Comptroller to be issued upon certificate or voucher certified by the secretary-treasurer of the board.
