Section 41-9-1023 Alabama Athletic Commission - Creation; composition; medical advisory panel. (a) There is created the Alabama Athletic Commission composed of six members. (b)(1) The membership of the commission shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. The six initial members shall be as follows: a. Two members appointed by the Governor. b. One member appointed by the Alabama Athlete Agents Commission. c. Section 22-18-41 Advanced life support techniques; procurement, carriage, and use of drugs and fluids; performance of services. (a) The board may by rule designate certain procedures as advanced life support techniques, which may be performed by EMSP during emergencies, such as situations where the life, health, or safety of a prehospital patient is in immediate jeopardy.
