Section 34-24-122 Rights and duties of chiropractors. Chiropractors who have complied with
the provisions of this article shall have the right to treat patients according to specific
chiropractic methods and shall observe state, county, and municipal public health regulations,
reporting to the proper health officers the same as other practitioners. Chiropractors shall
not prescribe or administer medicine to patients, perform surgery, nor practice obstetrics

or referral, a licensed physical therapist may perform an initial evaluation or consultation
of a screening nature to determine the need for physical therapy and may perform the physical

who is a graduate of a college of veterinary medicine not accredited by the American Veterinary
Medical Association shall be eligible to take the regularly scheduled state licensing examination

Section 34-11-35.1 Legislative findings; rulemaking authority. (a) In addition to the powers
provided to the board by Section 34-11-35, the Legislature finds and declares all of the following:
(1) The power to adopt rules regulating the practice of engineering and land surveying in
the state includes the power to prohibit unlicensed persons from practicing engineering or
