Section 45-23-171 Individuals with mental illness taken into temporary protective custody. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) DESIGNATED LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY. A law enforcement agency within Dale County that is authorized by the sheriff to exercise the authority described in this section. (2) LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. Any state, county, or municipal officer certified by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission. Section 41-9-1032 Refusal to grant license; disciplinary action; suspension or revocation of match permit. (a) The commission may refuse to grant a license to an applicant upon a finding by a majority of the entire commission that the applicant has failed to demonstrate the qualifications or standards for a license contained in this section or under the laws and rules under which licensure is sought.
