Section 34-23-77 Collaborative practice agreement. (a) A pharmacist licensed by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy and a physician licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners may enter into a collaborative practice agreement. (b) A copy of the collaborative practice agreement and any amendment thereto shall be submitted to each respective board within 10 days after the agreement is signed by both parties. (c) A collaborative practice agreement and any amendment thereto shall not become effective until approved by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy and the State Board of Medical Examiners. (d) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy and the State Board of Medical Examiners shall each adopt rules to implement this section. The initial rules shall be adopted not later than October 1, 2019. (a) The board shall be assisted in formulating rules and policy pertaining to emergency medical services by the State Emergency Medical Control Committee (SEMCC).
