Section 4-3-45 Board of directors of authority. Each authority shall be governed by
a board of directors of either three, five, or seven members as provided in the certificate
of incorporation or the bylaws. If the sole authorizing subdivision is a county, the county
commission of the county shall elect all directors. If the sole authorizing subdivision is
a municipality, the governing body of such municipality shall elect all directors. The directors
initially elected shall be elected for terms of office of two, four, and six years, respectively,

Section 45-37-123.01 Definitions. For the purposes of this part, the following terms
shall have the following meanings: (1) ACT. The act adding this part, to be called the General

Section 34-27B-5 State Board of Respiratory Therapy - Created; composition; liability
of members; terms; meetings; expense reimbursement and per diem allowance. (a) The Alabama
State Board of Respiratory Therapy is created to implement and administer this chapter and
shall be composed of five members appointed by the Governor. Three of the members shall be
respiratory therapists, one member shall be the chief executive officer of a hospital, and
one member shall be a physician. The respiratory therapist members of the board appointed
by the Governor shall be selected from a list of names submitted by the Alabama Society for

Section 34-17A-6 Creation of board; composition; vacancies; removal. (a) There is created
the Alabama Board of Examiners in Marriage and Family Therapy. The board shall consist of

Section 16-50-26 Meetings. The first meeting of the Board of Trustees of Alabama State
University after all members have been appointed shall be upon the call of the president of

board, and on submission of a written application on forms provided by the board, the applicant
shall be issued without examination a temporary license to practice physical therapy or to
act as a physical therapist assistant in this state for a period not to exceed one year, if

Section 34-24-217 Grounds for refusal, suspension, or revocation of license. (a) The
board shall refuse to issue a license to any person and, after notice and hearing in accordance
with its regulations and rules, shall suspend or revoke the license of any person who has:
