Section 16-22-17 Payroll deductions for participation in statewide programs. (a) When used in this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively: (1) EMPLOYEE. (b) For the purposes of this section, the following words have the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) DEPARTMENT. The Jefferson County Board of Health. Section 34-14C-4 Licensure; inspections. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a home medical equipment services provider shall be licensed annually by the board before the provider may engage in the provision of home medical equipment services. In Alabama, when a single business entity provides home medical equipment services from more than one location within the state, each such location shall be licensed. A provider of home medical equipment services that has a principal place of business outside this state shall maintain at least one physical location within this state, each of which shall be licensed.
