Section 22-18-9 Criminal history background checks. (a) When reviewing an applicant for initial licensure under this article, the Board of Health may require a fingerprint-based state and national criminal background check through the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency for purposes of determining the applicant's suitability for licensure. (b) The applicant shall pay all costs associated with a required criminal background check at the same time the applicant pays the initial licensure fee. (c) Upon receipt of an authorized request and payment from the board, the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency shall promptly cause the criminal background check to be conducted and return the results directly to the board. (d) Results of the criminal background check received by the board shall be privileged and shall not be a public record nor disclosed to any individual within the Board of Health beyond those authorized, as determined by the board. Section 27-9A-8 Prelicensing course and examination. (a)(1) Every individual subject to the examination required in subsection (b) shall first complete a prelicensing course consisting of 20 classroom hours per line of authority, or equivalent individual instruction. (2) The prelicensing course shall have been completed within 12 months before the date of the related examination as shown on the certificate furnished by the prelicensing course provider. (3) Every prelicensing course provider shall apply annually for the continued authority to issue certificates of completion under rules to be prescribed by the commissioner. Section 34-24-73 Reciprocity generally. (a) The State Board of Medical Examiners may establish reciprocal agreements for licensure by endorsement with similar boards of other states, the District of Columbia, the territories of the United States, and the provinces of Canada in reference to the issuance of certificates of qualifications. Reciprocal agreements shall not be established with a board of examiners that does not require examination upon substantially the same branches of medical learning as those examinations required for licensure in this state, and that does not maintain a standard of proficiency at least equal to that maintained by the Board of Medical Examiners of this state. All applicants for licensing must, after receiving their DVM or equivalent degree, complete six continuous months of practical experience under the direct or indirect supervision of a board approved licensed veterinarian in any state before a license will be issued. Preceptorship time required by any school of veterinary medicine shall apply towards six months internship. Section 2-27-9 Registration, application, and fees; registration powers of commissioner; appeal and review. (a) Every pesticide or device which is distributed, sold, or offered for sale within this state or delivered for transportation or transported in intrastate commerce or between points within this state through any point outside this state shall be registered with the commissioner upon application forms prescribed and furnished by the commissioner, and such registration or registrations shall be renewed during the registrant's renewal year, due January 1 of the renewal year. (a) A resident individual applying for an insurance producer license shall pass a written examination unless exempt pursuant to Section 27-7-5 or 27-7-29.1. Section 34-12-4 Qualifications of applicants for registration. (a) The following requirements shall be considered as minimum evidence satisfactory to the board that the applicant is qualified to practice forestry and to be registered and licensed pursuant to this chapter.
