Section 34-24-215 Temporary licenses. (a) On payment to the board of a fee set by the board, and on submission of a written application on forms provided by the board, the applicant shall be issued without examination a temporary license to practice physical therapy or to act as a physical therapist assistant in this state for a period not to exceed one year, if the person meets the qualifications set forth in Section 34-24-211 and submits evidence satisfactory to the board that he or she is in this state on a temporary basis to assist in a case of medical emergency or to engage in a special physical therapy project. Such special projects may be research and education programs. Each request will be judged by the board on its individual merits.
