Section 27-25-4.2 License; license renewal; name or address change. (a) Unless denied licensure pursuant to Section 27-25-4.5, a person who meets the requirements of Sections 27-25-4.1 and 27-25-4.3 shall be issued a title insurance agent license. (b) A title insurance agent license must be initially renewed in accordance with a schedule prescribed by the commissioner and shall thereafter be subject to renewal on a biennial basis. A renewal shall be effected by submitting a renewal application, by paying the fee for renewal set forth in Section 27-25-4.7, and by meeting the requirements for renewal, including any applicable continuing education requirements, before the due date for renewal. A license expires if not renewed by the due date for renewal. Section 34-14A-13 Issuance of permits. It is the duty of the building official, or other authority charged with the duty, of issuing building or similar permits, of any incorporated municipality or subdivision of the municipality or county, to refuse to issue a permit for any undertaking which would require a license hereunder unless the applicant has furnished evidence that he or she is either licensed as required by this chapter or is exempt from the requirements of this chapter. Section 23-1-275 Erection or maintenance of signs - Permits; identification tags or decals. (a) No sign permitted by the provisions of Section 23-1-274 may be erected without first obtaining a permit therefor from the director. No permit shall be required for signs conforming to the provisions of this division which are in existence upon February 10, 1972, until the end of the fifth calendar year.
