Section 34-1-5 Registration of foreign accountants. The board may, in its discretion and upon
application and the payment of an initial registration fee not in excess of $100, permit the
registration of any person with good moral character who is the holder of a certificate, license,
or degree in a foreign country constituting a recognized qualification for the practice of

Section 34-13-70 License required; filing of application; fee; criminal history background
check. (a) No person shall engage in, or attempt to engage in, the practice or profession
or business of a funeral director unless licensed to do so by the board. The board may issue
licenses to funeral directors. (b) Any person desiring to engage in the business, profession,
or practice of funeral director shall make application to the board and shall accompany his
or her application by a fee to be established by the board, not to exceed five hundred dollars

The board shall keep records of its proceedings in a book provided for that purpose, especially
with relation to the issuance, denial, renewal, suspension, and revocation of licenses to

for licensure or renewal shall be on forms provided by the board and shall be accompanied
