Section 34-30-24 Issuance of license to persons licensed in other states. Upon receipt of an
application from a person who holds a valid social workers' license from another state of
the United States which requires standards equivalent to Alabama's for licensing and who possesses
all the qualifications prescribed in Section 34-30-22, except that he or she has not paid
the examination fee or passed the examination prepared by the board, accompanied by the initial
license fee, the board shall issue a license as a "licensed bachelor social worker,"
"licensed master social worker," or "licensed independent clinical social worker"

article shall file with the secretary of the board a written application for a certificate

Section 15-13-212 Denial of licensure; application for reconsideration; issuance and display
of license. (a)(1) If an application for a license is denied, the board shall notify the applicant
in writing and specify the grounds for denial. If the grounds are subject to correction by
