Section 26-23G-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have
the following meanings: (1) ABORTION. The same as defined in Section 26-21-2. (2) ATTEMPT
TO PERFORM AN ABORTION. a. To do or omit to do anything that, under the circumstances as the
actor believes them to be, is an act or omission constituting a substantial step in a course
of conduct planned to culminate in the actor performing an abortion. Such substantial steps
include, but are not limited to, any of the following: 1. Agreeing with an individual to perform
an abortion on that individual or on some other individual, whether or not the term abortion
is used in the agreement, and whether or not the agreement is contingent on another factor,
such as receipt of payment or a determination of pregnancy. 2. Scheduling or planning a time

Section 34-27A-5 Rulemaking authority; powers and duties of board; immunity from suit. (a)
The board shall act by a majority vote of its members to adopt administrative rules necessary,
from time to time, to carry out this article. Rules of the board shall be adopted in compliance

Section 34-29-61 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings ascribed by this section: (1) ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE.
Any veterinary college or division of a university or college that offers the degree of doctor
of veterinary medicine or its equivalent and is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical

Section 34-13-56 Grounds for revocation, suspension, or refusal to issue or renew licenses,
etc.; hearing; fines. (a) The board may refuse to license any person or establishment for
violation of this chapter. If the board refuses to issue, grant, or renew a license based
on a violation of this chapter, including, but not limited to, violations listed in subsection
