Section 11-54A-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, in the absence of clear implication herein otherwise, shall be given the following respective interpretations herein: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of any city in accordance with Section 11-54A-4. (2) AUTHORITY. Any redevelopment authority organized pursuant to this chapter. (3) AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION. A resolution adopted by the governing body of any city in accordance with Section 11-54A-4, that authorizes the corporation of the authority. (4) BOARD. The board of directors of the authority. (5) BONDS. Shall include bonds, notes, and certificates representing an obligation to pay money. (6) CITY. Section 16-1-48 Anaphylaxis preparedness program. (a) The State Department of Education shall develop an anaphylaxis preparedness program to be adopted by each local board of education and implemented in each K-12 public school commencing with the 2015-2016 scholastic year. The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy shall provide guidance, direction, and advice to the State Department of Education in developing and administering the anaphylaxis preparedness program. Section 34-21A-5 Officers, executive director, and administration of the board. (a) At its annual organizational meeting, the board shall elect from its members a chair, vice-chair, and a secretary/treasurer for a one-year term of office. No board member shall serve more than three consecutive one-year terms in any one office. Section 36-25-13 Actions of former public officials or public employees prohibited for two years after departure. (a) No public official shall serve for a fee as a lobbyist or otherwise represent clients, including his or her employer before the board, agency, commission, department, or legislative body, of which he or she is a former member for a period of two years after he or she leaves such membership.
