Section 34-20-14 Disciplinary proceedings; administrative fines. (a) The board is hereby authorized to discipline its licensees by the adoption and collection of administrative fines, not to exceed $1,000 per violation and is authorized to institute any legal proceedings necessary to effect compliance with this chapter. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. (a) No person shall practice dentistry or dental hygiene in the State of Alabama unless licensed or permitted by the board and registered annually as required by this chapter.
