Section 34-9-10 Application; licensure by credentials; special purpose license. (a) Every person who desires to practice dentistry within the State of Alabama shall file an application prescribed by the board. Notwithstanding the method of obtaining licensure or any particular requirement set forth herein, every person as a prerequisite to licensure shall be at least 19 years of age, of good moral character, a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government, and a graduate of a dental school or college accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation and approved by the board and shall satisfy any other requirement set forth in any rule adopted by the board. Section 40-20-2 Levy and amount of tax upon business of producing or severing oil or gas from soil, etc., generally. (a)(1) There is hereby levied, to be collected hereafter, as herein provided, annual privilege taxes upon every person engaging or continuing to engage within the State of Alabama in the business of producing or severing oil or gas, as defined herein, from the soil or the waters, or from beneath the soil or the waters, of the state for sale, transport, storage, profit, or for use. (a) After consultation with appointing authorities, or other officers, or both, the director shall prepare and recommend to the board a pay plan for all employees in the classified service. (a) The board may levy and collect an administrative fine of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) nor more than five thousand dollars ($5,000) for any violation of any provision of this chapter or the rules and regulations of the board.
