Section 2-3-24 State Farmers' Market Committee - Creation; composition. To assist and advise the Board of Agriculture and Industries in carrying out its responsibilities prescribed in this article, there is hereby created the State Farmers' Market Committee, which shall consist of seven members as follows: (1) The Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, or at his discretion, a full-time employee of the state Department of Agriculture and Industries. The affairs of the association shall be managed by a board of directors which shall consist of nine persons appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Labor. To be eligible for appointment, a person must be an owner, employee, or agent of a member self-insurer, and should be experienced in the field.
