Section 34-21-121 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ADVERSE ACTION. Any administrative, civil, equitable, or criminal action permitted by the law of a state which is imposed by a licensing board or other authority against a nurse, including actions against the license or multistate licensure privilege of an individual, including revocation, suspension, probation, monitoring of a licensee, limitations on the practice of the licensee, the bringing of a cease and desist action against the licensee, or any other encumbrance on licensure affecting the authorization of a nurse to practice. (2) ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM. A nondisciplinary monitoring program approved by a licensing board. (3) COMMISSION. The Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (4) COMPACT. Section 34-23-90 Authority; composition. (a) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy is vested with the authority to carry out the purposes of and enforce this chapter. The board shall consist of five members who are citizens of this state. The members of the board shall be licensed pharmacists who have been licensed in this state for a minimum of five years and who are actively engaged in the practice of pharmacy or pharmacy administration, or both. (b) Three members shall be appointed by the Governor. Section 34-24-166 Refusal, revocation, or suspension - Grounds; rules; disciplinary action. (a) The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners may refuse to grant a license or permit to any applicant who is not of good moral character and reputation or has a history of narcotic addiction or has previously been convicted of a felony or any crime of moral turpitude or has previously been diagnosed as having a psychopathic disorder. (a) All registrants must provide pain management services at a location that is owned and operated by one of the following: (1) One or more physicians licensed to practice medicine in Alabama.
