Section 26-1-4 Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency to provide criminal conviction information on applicants for positions involving child care and treatment; such information to be confidential; applicant to be denied status if has felony conviction; children may be removed from home. (a) This compact shall become effective and binding on the earlier of the date of legislative enactment of this compact into law by not less than 26 states or December 31, 2019. All party states that also participated in the prior Nurse Licensure Compact, which is superseded by this compact, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Nurse Licensure Compact on the first day of the sixth month after the effective date of this compact.
