Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among
other things, on the hazards of litigation. By establishing an independent Alabama Tax Tribunal
within the executive branch of government, this chapter provides taxpayers with a means of
resolving controversies that insures both the appearance and the reality of due process and
fundamental fairness. The tax tribunal shall provide hearings in all tax matters, except those
specified by statute, and render decisions and orders relating thereto. A tax tribunal hearing

Section 34-20-6 Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators - Review of decisions.
Any party aggrieved by a final decision or order of the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home
Administrators suspending, revoking, or refusing to issue a license is entitled to a review
of such decision or order by taking an appeal to the circuit court of the county in which
the nursing home administrator or applicant resides. In such cases, such appeal shall be taken
by filing notice thereof with the register or clerk of the circuit court within 30 days of
the date of notice by the board of its decision. Appeals from any order or judgment rendered
thereon by the circuit court to the Supreme Court of Alabama shall be available as in other

Section 34-20-12 Reciprocity. The board may, subject to this chapter and the rules and
regulations of the board prescribing the qualifications for a nursing home administrator license,
issue a license to a nursing home administrator who has been issued a license by the proper

Section 34-14C-3 Duties of board; requirements of providers. (a) The board shall adopt
regulations that specify the medical equipment to be included in this chapter, set standards
for the licensure of entities which provide home medical equipment services, and govern the

Section 34-21-22 License to practice practical nursing; use of title "licensed

Section 34-14A-5 Licenses required; exceptions; fees. (a) (1) All residential home builders
shall be required to be licensed by the Home Builders Licensure Board annually. The board
may issue more than one type of license. (2) The board may issue licenses that vary in scope
of work authorized, including, but not limited to, licenses without limitation and with limitation.

Section 34-19-15 Licensure requirements; duration; grounds for suspension, revocation,
etc., of license; recordkeeping. (a) An individual desiring to be licensed as a midwife shall
apply to the board on forms provided by the board. Applicants for licensure shall submit evidence

Section 34-21-1 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall
have the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) ADVISORY COUNCILS. Advisory

Section 34-23-74 Hospitals and related institutions; automated dispensing systems. (a)
Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), every pharmacy located in a hospital, skilled
nursing home, or other related institution in this state shall be under the supervision of
