Section 34-27A-9 Classes of appraisers. (a) There shall be five classes of real estate appraisers licensed by the board. The classes may be revised or other classes added if necessary to conform in all respects with the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989, Pub.L. No. 101-73 (FIRREA), and any subsequent amendments and regulations issued pursuant thereto. The board shall make any revisions to the class titles or requirements for licensure by rules adopted in compliance with the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act, Chapter 22 of Title 41, and Section 34-27A-5. All persons in all classes licensed by the board are subject to the Competency Provision of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Section 34-9-18 Grounds for disciplinary action.
