Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among
other things, on the hazards of litigation. By establishing an independent Alabama Tax Tribunal
within the executive branch of government, this chapter provides taxpayers with a means of
resolving controversies that insures both the appearance and the reality of due process and
fundamental fairness. The tax tribunal shall provide hearings in all tax matters, except those

Section 40-2A-7 Uniform revenue procedures. (a) Maintenance of records; audit and subpoena

Section 34-19-17 Violations. (a) Except as provided in this section, it shall
be unlawful for an individual other than a licensed midwife to practice midwifery in this
state for economic remuneration or to hold himself or herself out to be a licensed midwife
unless he or she is a licensed midwife as defined in this chapter. An individual violating
this section shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor. (b) An individual does not violate
subsection (a) in any of the following circumstances: (1) The individual is a certified nurse

manage, or operate a cremation facility unless licensed to do so by the board. The board may

Section 34-8A-8 Qualifications for associate licensed counselor. The board shall issue
a license as an associate licensed counselor to each applicant who files an application upon
a form and in such manner as the board prescribes accompanied by such fees as are required
by this chapter, and who furnishes satisfactory evidence of the following to the board: (1)

Section 34-21-122 General provisions and jurisdiction. (a) A multistate license to practice
registered or licensed practical nursing issued by a home state to a resident in that state
shall be recognized by each party state as authorizing a nurse to practice as a registered
