Section 11-98-1 Definitions. (a) As used in this chapter, the following words and terms have
the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AUTOMATIC NUMBER
IDENTIFICATION. An enhanced 911 service capability that enables the automatic display of the
10-digit telephone number used to place a 911 call. The term includes pseudo-automatic number
identification, which means an enhanced 911 service capability that enables identification
of the subscriber. (2) CMRS. Commercial mobile radio service under Sections 3(27) and 332(d)
of the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, 47 U.S.C. §151 et seq., and Omnibus Budget

Section 22-19-161 Definitions. In this article: (1) "Adult" means an individual who
is at least 18 years of age. (2) "Agent" means an individual: (A) authorized to
make health care decisions on the principal's behalf by a power of attorney for health care;
or (B) expressly authorized to make an anatomical gift on the principal's behalf by any other
record signed by the principal. (3) "Anatomical gift" means a donation of all or
part of a human body to take effect after the donor's death for the purpose of transplantation,

Section 34-14-5 Licenses - Standards and scope of examination. (a) The qualifying examination
provided in Section 34-14-4 shall be designed to demonstrate the applicant's adequate technical
qualifications by testing the applicant in three separate sections consisting of a written
examination, a practical examination, and a state law examination. The board may revise standards

the "Alabama Armed Services Accommodation Act." (b) The Legislature finds it to
be an important matter of public policy that an accommodation be made for military members
who are asked to testify in civil or criminal trials in this state but are unable to attend
in person. The purpose of this section is to ease the burdens on military personnel and their
