Section 34-24-300 Licensing of certified Physician Assistant or Surgeon Assistant. Notwithstanding any other provision of this article to the contrary, any person who was certified by the board as a physician assistant or surgeon assistant to a licensed physician on December 21, 1994, shall be eligible for the issuance of a license to practice as an assistant to physician in this state. The issuance of a permit for parenteral sedation shall include the privilege of administering intravenous sedation. Section 34-21A-18 Annual renewal of license. (a) A license is only valid during the calendar year indicated on the license. At the end of that calendar year, the license will expire unless it is renewed by the licensee.
