Section 34-1-8 Registration of public accountants. Written evidence of registration as public accountants shall be issued to: (1) Any person who is a resident of this state, or practices accounting herein, who has attained the age of 19 years, and who is of good moral character and a citizen of the United States or has declared his or her intent to become a citizen, and who meets the requirements of paragraphs a., b., c., or d. of this subdivision, may, upon payment of an initial registration fee to be fixed by the board, register with the board as a public accountant on or before October 1, 1974: a. Section 34-13-56 Grounds for revocation, suspension, or refusal to issue or renew licenses, etc.; hearing; fines. (a) The board may refuse to license any person or establishment for violation of this chapter. If the board refuses to issue, grant, or renew a license based on a violation of this chapter, including, but not limited to, violations listed in subsection (c), the licensee or prospective licensee may request a public hearing before the board to appeal the action of the board.
