Section 40-25A-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them by this section: (1) PERSON. Individuals, firms, corporations, partnerships, companies, or other agencies, associations, incorporated or otherwise, singular or plural. (2) WHOLESALE SALE. A sale of tangible personal property by wholesalers to licensed retail merchants, jobbers, dealers, or other wholesalers for resale and does not include a sale by wholesalers to users or consumers, not for resale. (3) NET TAX PROCEEDS. The entire proceeds from the tax herein levied less cost of collection, refunds, grants and credits as may be authorized by law. (4) STATE. The State of Alabama. (5) DEPARTMENT. Section 11-53B-3 Notice from appropriate city official; failure to comply. (a) Whenever the appropriate city official, as defined herein, shall find that any building, structure, part of building or structure, party wall, or foundation situated in the city is unsafe to the extent that it is a public nuisance, the official shall give the person or persons, firm, association, or corporation who is the record owner, notice to remedy the unsafe condition of the building or structure by certified or registered mail to the owner's last known address and to the owner at the address of the property. Section 16-64-3 Certification of residency; evaluation of connections with State of Alabama. (a) An individual claiming to be a resident for purposes of this chapter shall certify by a signed statement each of the following: (1) A specific address or location within the State of Alabama as his or her residence. Section 23-1-375 Operation of airport, landing field, without license prohibited; application for certificate of approval of proposed airport or landing field; limitation of operations conducted on licensed airport. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this article, a person or a municipality, officer, or employee of a municipality may not operate an airport, restricted landing area, or other air navigation facility without a license issued by the department. (a) The provisions of this section shall apply only to those portions of Colbert County located outside the corporate boundaries of the Cities of Tuscumbia, Sheffield, and Muscle Shoals.
