Section 45-39-200.19 License inspector. (a) The Lauderdale County Commission is hereby authorized to appoint the Lauderdale County License Inspector, pursuant to Section 40-12-10, as amended, who shall serve at the pleasure of the commission. The salary and the expense allowance shall be fixed by the commission. All other provisions of Section 40-12-10 applicable to the duties, powers, and authority of the license inspector and the powers of the county commission shall be applicable in Lauderdale County. (b) No provision of this section shall be construed to abolish the office of Lauderdale County License Commissioner and the duties and powers prescribed by this part, except as otherwise herein provided; and such provisions shall be construed in pari materia with this section.
