Section 24-1-27 Powers and duties of authority. (a) An authority shall constitute a public body and a body corporate and politic exercising public powers, and having all the powers necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of this article, including the following powers in addition to others granted in this article: (1) To investigate into living, dwelling and housing conditions and into the means and methods of improving such conditions. (2) To determine where unsafe or unsanitary dwelling, public school or housing conditions exist. (3) To study and make recommendations concerning the plan of any city located within its boundaries in relation to the problem of clearing, replanning, and reconstruction of areas in which unsafe or unsanitary dwelling, public school, or housing conditions exist, and the provision of dwelling accommodations for persons of low income, and to cooperate with any city or regional planning agency. Section 45-37-123.01 Definitions. For the purposes of this part, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACT. The act adding this part, to be called the General Retirement System for Employees of Jefferson County Act. (2) ACTIVE MEMBER. Section 34-2-41 Fund of the Board for the Registration of Architects; compensation of members; expenses; bond. The executive director of the board shall receive and account for all moneys derived from the operation of this chapter. Such moneys shall be certified into the treasury in a fund to be known as the Fund of the Board for the Registration of Architects. (a) There is hereby established a special fund in the State Treasury, to be known as the Alabama Chemical Testing Training and Equipment Trust Fund. Section 9-21-6 Aquatic Plant Management Fund. (a) The Aquatic Plant Management Fund is established. The fund shall be a non-reverting fund administered by the board and shall consist of all monies received by the board pursuant to this chapter.
