Section 14-2-6 Members; officers; directors; quorum; vacancies; salaries. The applicants named in the application and their respective successors in office shall constitute the members of the authority. The Governor shall be the president of the authority, the Commissioner of Corrections shall be the vice-president of the authority and the Director of Finance shall be the secretary of the authority. The State Treasurer shall be the treasurer and custodian of the funds of the authority, but shall not be a member of the authority. (a) The Alabama Professional Bail Bonding Board is created to administer and enforce this article. The board shall consist of all of the following members: (1) Seven professional bondsmen, one from each of the seven congressional districts of the state, nominated by the Alabama Bail Bond Association and appointed by the Governor from a list of not more than four nominees for each position on the board.
