Section 22-52-10.6 Petition for renewal of inpatient commitment order; probate court; special
judge; notice; hearing. (a) A petition for renewal of an inpatient commitment order may be
filed by the director of a state mental health facility or his designee at least 30 days prior
to the expiration of the current commitment order. The petition, together with a copy of the
original commitment order and copies of any subsequent renewal commitment orders, shall be
filed with the probate court of the county where the facility is located. The petition shall
explain in detail why renewal of the order is being requested, and shall further explain in
detail why less restrictive conditions of treatment are not appropriate. (b) Such probate
court may consider, hear, and enter appropriate orders pursuant to this section or may request

Section 27-2-26 Witnesses and evidence for examination, investigation or hearing - Generally.
(a) As to the subject of any examination, investigation, or hearing being conducted by him,
the commissioner may subpoena witnesses and administer oaths or affirmations and examine any
individual under oath or take depositions and, by subpoena duces tecum, may require and compel
the production of records, books, files, documents, and other evidence. (b) Witness fees and
mileage, if claimed, shall be allowed the same as for testimony in a circuit court. Witness

Section 34-14A-15 Recovery fund. (a) The board may establish a Homeowners' Recovery Fund for
the purpose of consumer protection, consumer education, and consumer awareness. An aggrieved
homeowner may recover actual economic damages, not including interest and court costs, sustained
within the state as the direct result of conduct of a licensee in violation of this chapter
or the rules of the board from the Homeowners' Recovery Fund. Any payments from the Homeowners'

Section 34-25-35 Refusal, suspension, reprimand, probation, or revocation - Judicial review.
Any person dissatisfied with the action of the board in refusing his application or suspending

of Human Resources and shall send a certificate of the final order of adoption to the State

any provision of this chapter or any rule, regulation, requirement or order thereunder or
