Section 34-26-22 Certain powers and duties enumerated; registration requirements; continuing
education; rules and regulations. (a) The Board of Examiners in Psychology shall have authority
to administer oaths, to summon witnesses and to take testimony in all matters relating to
its duties. The board shall be the sole agency in this state empowered to certify concerning
competence in the practice of psychology and the sole board empowered to recommend licensure
for the practice of psychology. The board shall have the power to recognize areas of specialization
for practice and supervision, and to ensure through rules and regulations and enforcement
that licensees limit their practice to demonstrated areas of competence as documented by relevant
professional education, training, and experience. No individual shall be issued a license
for the practice of psychology who has not been previously certified at the appropriate level

Section 34-29-68 Records to be kept; issuances and denials of licenses; what records
are confidential. The board shall keep records of its proceedings in a book provided for that
purpose, especially with relation to the issuance, denial, renewal, suspension, and revocation
of licenses to practice veterinary medicine. All licenses issued by the board shall be numbered
and recorded by the executive director in a file for that purpose. Where a license is denied
by the board to any applicant under this article, the facts and grounds of denial shall be

Section 34-34A-14 License denial, revocation, etc.; hearing procedures, reinstatement.
(a) The board may deny a license, refuse to renew a license, suspend a license, or revoke
a license, or it may reprimand, censure, or otherwise discipline a person practicing dietetics/nutrition

Section 16-22A-3 Definitions. When used in this chapter only, the following terms shall

(1) APPLICANT. A certified or noncertified individual who submits an application for employment

Section 34-11-31 Qualifications of members. (a) Board members shall at all times maintain
eligibility to serve on the board avoiding relationships that would interfere with the board
mission of protecting health, life, safety, welfare, and property. (b) Each member of the
board shall be a citizen of the United States and a resident of this state for at least six
months. (c) Each licensed professional engineer or licensed professional land surveyor shall

Section 34-16-7 Exemptions. The following persons shall be exempt from licensure or
permitting pursuant to this chapter: (1) Any student who is enrolled in a formal American
sign language program, a formal interpreter training program, or a formal interpreter or transliterator

Section 13A-11-75 Permit to carry pistol in vehicle or concealed on person - Issuance;
fee; revocation; release of information. (a)(1)a. The sheriff of a county, upon the application
of any person residing in that county, within 30 days from receipt of a complete application
and accompanying fee, shall issue or renew a permit for such person to carry a pistol in a
vehicle or concealed on or about his or her person within this state for one- to five-year
increments, as requested by the person seeking the permit, from date of issue, unless the
sheriff determines that the person is prohibited from the possession of a pistol or firearm
pursuant to state or federal law, or has a reasonable suspicion that the person may use a
weapon unlawfully or in such other manner that would endanger the person's self or others.

or permit to exist a certificate of authority as to any insurer, other than an alien insurer,

Section 34-31-32 Violations; penalties. (a) Any person engaged in business as a certified
contractor or performing the functions of a certified contractor in violation of this chapter
shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor, as defined by the state criminal code. (b) The board
may, at its discretion, impose late penalties on those certified contractors who fail to renew
certificates by December 31 of each year. The board may also remove certification from any
certified person who fails to renew his or her certificate by the first day of March and require
the person to apply for a new certificate. Furthermore, the board may at its discretion, remove,
