Section 34-9-10 Application; licensure by credentials; special purpose license. (a) Every person who desires to practice dentistry within the State of Alabama shall file an application prescribed by the board. Notwithstanding the method of obtaining licensure or any particular requirement set forth herein, every person as a prerequisite to licensure shall be at least 19 years of age, of good moral character, a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government, and a graduate of a dental school or college accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation and approved by the board and shall satisfy any other requirement set forth in any rule adopted by the board. Section 22-30D-6 Registration; fees. (a) No later than May 24, 2001, each owner or operator of a drycleaning facility located in this state who shall notify the department that it elects to be covered by this chapter shall also register each drycleaning facility owned or operated in the state by such owner or operator with the department on forms provided by the department. Each owner or operator electing to register pursuant to this subsection shall submit its registration forms to the Department of Revenue and the department. Section 34-9-6.1 Mobile dental facilities or portable dental operations. (a) For purposes of this section, the following words have the following meanings: (1) DENTAL HOME. The dental home is the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive of all aspects of oral health care, delivered in a comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated, and family-centered way. (2) MOBILE DENTAL FACILITY. Any self-contained facility in which dentistry or dental hygiene is practiced which may be moved, towed, or transported from one location to another. (3) OPERATOR. A person licensed to practice dentistry in this state or an entity which is approved as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code which employs dentists licensed in the state to operate a mobile dental facility or portable dental operation.
