Section 36-27-16 Retirement, etc., of employees; retirement allowances. (a)(1) RETIREMENT, ETC., OF EMPLOYEES GENERALLY; ELIGIBILITY FOR SERVICE RETIREMENT BENEFITS. a. (a) The State Board of Medical Examiners may, in its discretion and subject to rules and regulations promulgated by the board, issue a certificate of qualification without examination in behalf of full-time employed physicians teaching in any medical college in Alabama, approved by the Association of American Medical Colleges or the board. No person shall practice as a dental hygienist in this state until such person has passed an examination given by the board or approved by the board, or both, under rules and regulations as the board may promulgate and the payment of a fee.
