Section 33-2-3 Acquisition, construction, maintenance, operation, etc., of facilities; plans
and survey; limitation upon right of eminent domain. Through the Alabama State Docks Department,
the state, in engaging in the works of internal improvements authorized by this article, shall
have the power to acquire, purchase, install, lease, construct, own, hold, maintain, equip,
control and operate along navigable rivers, streams or waterways and at river ports or landings
along navigable rivers, streams or waterways now or hereafter existing within the state, wharves,
piers, docks, quays, grain elevators, cotton compresses, warehouses, improvements and water

street railroads, mining, manufacturing, power, quarrying, telegraph, telephone, pipeline,

Section 9-7A-6 Grants - Projects receiving financial assistance must conform to the state comprehensive
outdoor recreation plan. Financial assistance may be provided to any applicant for the following
types of projects or combinations thereof if they are in accordance with the state comprehensive
outdoor recreation plan: (1) Payments for the acquisition of land, waters or interest in land
or waters but not including incidental costs relating to acquisition. (2) Payments for development

Section 23-1-413 Permit procedures. (a) The department shall establish procedures for submitting
applications and issuing permits. (b)(1) The department shall produce and, from time to time,
modify and update the forms on which the applications for a permit shall be made. (2) The
filing fee assessed by the department shall not exceed five hundred dollars ($500) per application.
Any number of structures or a group of structures may be included in a single application

Section 9-2-3 Powers and duties as to state parks and parkways, etc. The Department of Conservation
and Natural Resources, for the purpose of establishing, developing and maintaining state parks
and parkways, may acquire land by donation, purchase, condemnation or lease and for these
purposes may use such funds as may be available to it and not otherwise obligated and may
