Section 16-53-7 Board of trustees - Transfer of jurisdiction; additional powers. After July 1, 2006, the board of trustees created by this chapter for The University of West Alabama shall have exclusive jurisdiction, supervision, and control of The University of West Alabama; and the State Board of Education is thereafter divested of all jurisdiction, power, and authority with regard to the supervision, management, and control of such university except as otherwise herein provided.
