Section 45-5-90 2020 Strategic Planning Commission. (a) In Blount County, there is hereby created the "Blount County 2020 Strategic Planning Commission" (hereinafter called the commission), for the development of long-term goals and objectives for Blount County covering economic, environment, business, and education, and other significant areas of concern to the citizens of the county, whose members shall serve on a voluntary basis and without compensation. (b)(1) The commission shall be composed of volunteer residents of the county who submit written applications to the appointing authority. The appointing authority will be composed of the Blount County Probate Judge, the President of the Blount County/Oneonta Chamber of Commerce, and the Blount County Legislative Delegation. Section 41-10-755 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time to time to sell and issue its bonds for the purpose of providing funds to be transferred to and deposited in the Alabama Trust Fund and the Rainy Day Account, to provide additional funds to the Alabama Medicaid Agency, for paying the costs of transportation projects, and for the purpose of refunding any or all of the authority's outstanding bonds.
